Thai Airways wins top award for the Best Economy Class Airline Seat |
|
|
Thai Airways was named winner of the World's Best Economy Class Airline Seat
award at the 2011 World Airline Awards, in a ceremony held in the French Air and Space Museum at the Paris Air Show.
The runners-up in this Best Economy Class Airline Seat category are Air
New Zealand taking 2nd place in the category, ahead of Qantas Airways in 3rd position.

Formed in 1988, the airline operates out of Suvarnabhumi Airport. Thai flies to 72 destinations
in 35 countries, using a fleet of 85 aircraft. Thai Airways is one of the few airlines with a
uniform change policy. International female flight attendants are required to change from their
corporate purple suits (for use outside the cabin) into their traditional Thai dress prior to
the general boarding of passengers.
