Aegean Airlines is the Best
Regional Airline in Europe at 2011 awards |

Aegean Airlines was named winner of the Best Regional Airline Europe award at the 2011 World Airline Awards, in a ceremony held in the French Air and Space Museum at the Paris Air Show.
The runners-up in the Best Regional Airline Europe category are easyJet taking
2nd place in the category, ahead of Air Nostrum in 3rd position.

Star Alliance member since June 2010, it operates scheduled and charter services from Athens
and Thessaloniki to other major Greek destinations as well as to a number of European
destinations. Its main base is Athens International Airport.

Air Nostrum is an independent carrier, which operates as a franchise of Iberia Airlines and

network of 91 domestic and international routes to 51 destinations, as well as charter
flights. Its main base is Valencia Airport, with hubs at Barcelona Airport and Madrid-
Barajas Airport.
