"As winner of the World's Best Cabin Staff award for 2008, we were not surprised to see Asiana Airlines strong performance in this survey category" said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax. In 2nd place, Qatar Airways moved up from 4th in 2007, and is the only non-Asian airline to feature in the Top 5. Singapore Airlines maintains its strong World Airline Awards performance, ranked 3rd worldwide for Economy Class, ahead of neighbouring Malaysia Airlines in 4th place and Thai Airways moving up to 5th in these 2008 results.
