"Global survey ..... multi-national interviews ..... Global awards"

Korean Air has been named as winner of the world's Best Economy Class 2007, the first major
title this airline has picked up in the World Airline Awards in recent years.
"We regard this as a major achievement for any airline, and congratulate Korean Air on securing this
very clear vote of customer confidence and satisfaction for their Economy class product and service standards"
said Edward Plaisted (CEO of the survey organisation, Skytrax).
"Whilst economy class air travel often receives criticism from passengers and some media sources,
we have in the past 1-2 years seen a renewed interest amongst many airlines that the
comfort, welfare and enjoyment of their Economy class customers is important. We have to remember financial woes
the industry has faced in the last decade - and customers still want the best product or service at the lowest fare" added Plaisted.
"It is therefore pleasing to see that the quality of Economy class and which many airlines are
offering their long haul customers is improving, and clearly our top 5 (Korean Air, Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines,
Qatar Airways and Asiana Airlines) are achieving some of the best standards in this category."
