"Global survey ..... multi-national interviews ..... Global awards"

"Emirates seem to have their name carved firmly onto this Best Inflight Entertainment Award" said Edward Plaisted of
Skytrax, "and we congratulate them for their repeated success in this 2007 Survey result".
"The importance of good inflight entertainment to a typical customer's trip enjoyment continues to rise in
importance, and the intense competition between airlines and equipment suppliers is a great testament to those
airlines we see ranked in the top Award positions for 2007" said Plaisted.
"This year we have seen the closest final result between 1st and 2nd position, pitting Emirates ICE
onboard entertainment against Singapore Airlines Krisworld, and already we look forward to seeing
the results for next year!. Whilst it is customers in First or Business class that can benefit from
the largest or widest PTV screens on the latest IFE systems, we must highlight that the substantial majority
of our survey respondents are basing their nominations on standards in Economy class" added Plaisted.
"On a long flight, it is the Economy class customer who is the most demanding and also the most
appreciative of being offered the best standards of audio and video entertainment. When we look at the
top 5 places in these 2007 Awards, it is worth noting these airlines are also offering some of
the most consistent IFE equipment standards - of great importance to the customer."
Reacting to Emirates continued success in winning the world's Best Airline Inflight Entertainment Award, Mike Simon,
Emirates Divisional SVP Corporate Communications, said "This is indeed a proud moment for us at Emirates - topping one of
the most fiercely-contested of all categories three times in a row. It validates our insistence on inflight innovation
and investments to ensure our passengers can relax with an incredible choice of entertainment, communicate with their
businesses and loved ones, and have a thoroughly engaging time while flying Emirates. It's also a happy coincidence
that the award comes on the heels of unveiling our new ice Digital Widescreen system."
