Best First Class Airlines 2017

The Award for the world's Best First Class Airline is a coveted Quality distinction that represents passenger satisfaction assessment of the front-line First Class product and staff service standards that airlines provide across the cabin and airport environments. It reflects the typical First Class Quality levels an airline provides, and is not aircraft specific or based on bespoke First Class items that are not widely offered across an airline's fleet. In addition to the all-round Best First class winner, we feature airlines voted Best in Category award winners for First Class.

The award for First Class Comfort Amenities is based on the full range of comfort amenities that a customer receives in these premium cabins on long haul flights. This covers much more than just an amenity kit, and the Comfort Amenities award classification is about end-to-end comfort. This Award category includes the quality of pillows, duvets and blankets, onboard turndown / seat cover service, pyjamas, hot and cold towel services, washroom products, and of course the amenity kit.

About the World Airline Awards

The airline survey and awards process is independent and impartial, introduced by Skytrax in 1999 to provide a customer satisfaction study that was global, reflecting the international scale of the airline industry. Travellers across the globe vote in the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey to decide the award winners.

All costs for the project are paid by Skytrax, and airlines do not pay any type of survey entry / registration fee, or to attend the awards event. There are no charges for airline use of the award logos and results. Airlines can invite and encourage their customers to participate in the airline survey, but no element of financial or other inducement can be offered.

Why do Skytrax continue to deliver such a project without seeking to benefit financially? This relates back to the commitment made by Skytrax at launch in 1999 that for the survey to provide meaningful results it had to remain independent and impartial, and should not have any payment or sponsorship from within the airline industry.
