Dragonair Chief Executive Officer, Mr James Tong said : "It is of our greatest honour to receive the World's Best Regional Airline
Award which represents a direct recognition of Dragonair from millions of customers and travellers from around the globe. We have been
voted Best Airline - China for 6 consecutive years and Best Airline - Southeast Asia in the past. Clinching the World's Best Regional
Airline Award this time reflects Dragonair's continuous commitment in the pursuit of service excellence by putting our customers first.
This would not have been achieved without the dedication and devotion of our staff for the outstanding and world standard service they strive
to provide to our passengers. This is for sure the best and most timely gift for our 25th anniversary in 2010. I would like to thank Skytrax
for the Award and all travellers who voted for us. The Award is a big stimulus in encouraging us to fly high and remaining to be the world's best."
Commenting on the award to Dragonair, Mr Plaisted said: "this is a fantastic achievement for Dragonair, and they are clearly capturing the
customer's hearts in what is probably one of the most competitive region in the world for top quality airlines. The awards are true
recognition of the front-line product and service that Dragonair is delivering to customers, and the
branding as the Passenger's Choice awards
underlines the fact they are succeeding in satisfying the hardest critics, their users."

SKYTRAX 2010 WORLD AIRLINE AWARDS - the Passengers Choice Awards
Over 40 airlines from around the world assembled at the World Airline Awards in Hamburg to receive their accolades. The award winners are selected by the airline industry's most important audience
- it's customers.
More than 17.9 million air travellers from over 100 different nationalities took
part in the 10 month survey, July 2009 to April 2010. The awards are respected
and recognised around the world for being the only truly global, independent
passenger survey of airline standards. The World Airline Awards were established
in 1999, and are known across the globe as the Passengers Choice awards. The 2009/2010 Survey included over 200 airlines, from largest international airlines to domestic carriers.
