Air passengers have chosen Finnair as the Best Airline in Northern Europe in
the 2010 independent Skytrax survey. About 18 million passengers from some 100
different countries participated in the Skytrax World Airline Survey, which was carried out
between July 2009 and April 2010.
"The customer is more important than anything to us, so we are absolutely
delighted at our customers' feedback," says Christer Haglund, Senior Vice
President, Corporate Communications. "This confirms that our product is already
at the very highest level in world terms. Of course we want to keep developing
our service to make it even better."
The oneworld alliance, of which Finnair is an active member, was chosen in the
Skytrax awards as the World's Best Airline Alliance for the seventh time.
"We are in good company as a member of the world's best known airline
alliance," says Paavo Virkkunen, responsible for Finnair's oneworld alliance
relations. "Together with its alliance partners, Finnair has helped
determinedly to develop oneworld services and quality criteria."

SKYTRAX 2010 WORLD AIRLINE AWARDS - the Passengers Choice Awards
Over 40 airlines from around the world assembled at the World Airline Awards in Hamburg to receive their accolades. The award winners are selected by the airline industry's most important audience
- it's customers.
More than 17.9 million air travellers from over 100 different nationalities took
part in the 10 month survey, July 2009 to April 2010. The awards are respected
and recognised around the world for being the only truly global, independent
passenger survey of airline standards. The World Airline Awards were established
in 1999, and are known across the globe as the Passengers Choice awards. The 2009/2010 Survey included over 200 airlines, from largest international airlines to domestic carriers.
