Commenting on the award received by Virgin America, Skytrax Chairman, Edward Plaisted said: "this is a fantastic achievement for Virgin America to be here
collecting the award as Best Low-Cost Airline North America. As one of the newer and smaller low-cost carriers, it is noteworthy that
they have beaten off the challenge from larger and more established airlines in North America. Virgin America are clearly meeting, and
exceeding their customer's expectations to have been named winner of this Best Low-Cost Airline North America. The awards represent a true
recognition of the front-line product and service that Virgin America is delivering to it's customers, and the award slogan of 'The Passenger's Choice' underlines the fact that Virgin America are succeeding in satisfying the hardest critics - their users."
