Commenting on the award to Malev, Edward Plaisted of Skytrax said: "this is a fantastic
achievement for Malev, and they are clearly meeting and exceeding their customer's expectations to
have been named Best Airline Eastern Europe. The awards are true recognition of the front-line
product and service that Malev is delivering to customers, and the award slogan of 'The Passenger's
Choice' underlines the fact that Malev are succeeding in satisfying the hardest critics - their
users."
Martin Gauss CEO of Malév said :"I am particularly proud of the fact that, despite the difficult economic conditions, we have
succeeded in retaining the trust and confidence of our customers, thus allowing us to win the Best Airline in Eastern Europe award. Using
all our services we endeavour to ensure that those who have flown with us once will do so again with pleasure. The winning of this award, based on
customer satisfaction, is a significant achievement for us all, showing ever more clearly that we are on the
right path in the process of renewing the airline."
